Grandma's Coats For Kids
We are a Non-profit helping kids in need of a warm coat

Grandma’s Coats for Kids is a non-profit 501 (3) C charitable organization that began in 2015.  The focus has been to supply winter coats and warm wear to elementary children in the North St Paul Maplewood school districts.

I grew up in a rural Minnesota community during the 1940’s.  As a child I remember people remarking that “times were tough.”  However, I was quite fortunate to have had a grandmother who helped provide our family with some of life's necessities.  One of my fondest memories of my grandmother included the fall shopping trip to purchase a new winter coat.  This was such a special day and one that I will never forget.  As a grandmother myself and lifelong resident of the North St Paul area I was inspired to try in some small way to provide a warm coat to a child  in need.

Thus, the beginning of Grandma’s Coats for Kids.
Our organization relies on donations from the local community.  We accept new and gently used coats and outerwear as well as cash donations.

Our mission is to provide warm winter essentials for the children in a Minnesota community, where the winters can get bitter cold.
We want every child in need to be able to stay warm during our long winter months, and with your help we can make this happen together!
